At 119 pages, the Department’s new annual review and outlook is a slog. Fortunately for the reader, three of the pages are dedicated solely to clarifying the many confusing acronyms readers may find contained within. Now the Dealer is well-versed on all matters related to agriculture but some of these terms are completely new to me.

Our favourites include RSW (refrigerated sea water), PCRW (post-consumer recovered wood) and ENPADASI (European Nutritional Phenotype Assessment and Data Sharing Initiative). The Dealer could think of a couple of acronyms to describe our thoughts as we leafed through, none of which are suitable for these pages.

On the upside, if you’re thinking of organising a pub quiz, these LWATAFTDOAFAM (long-winded and terrible acronyms from the Department of Agriculture Food and Marine) may come in handy. LOL.
