I see that Teagasc is looking for a new chief operations officer, with the incumbent, Alan Phelan, set to retire later this year.

Starting at just under €170,000 and reporting to the director of Teagasc, the main responsibility is strategy development and implementation.

The incoming chief operations officer will be over head of sales, finance, human resources, ICT and the business delivery manager. Not a bad gig, if you can get it.
