“Bad payers are in a minority, but in general we find farmers very good to pay their bills,” said Conor Geraghty, animal health chair at Veterinary Ireland.
“We might have to wait sometimes until they sell a few animals or the single farm payment comes through, but it does come.
“They understand that if you don’t pay for the service, you won’t get it. We’re no different to any other business in that regard."
