Snow, ice and frost caused treacherous road conditions across the country at the weekend, with a milk lorry veering off the road in Cork.

Gardai appealed to motorists to adjust their driving to the road conditions.

The incident occurred between Watergrasshill and Glenville.

Nobody was injured in the incident on Sunday and it is not known whether there was any milk spilled.

Met Eireann is forecasting further frosty and wet conditions for the week ahead.

It has issued a number of weather warnings.
