Today will be mainly dry and warm with just an isolated shower in the afternoon.

There will be more cloud about than today, but there will be sunny periods too, with the best of any prolonged sunshine further north.

Highest afternoon temperatures will range from 21°C to 27°C. It will be warmest in the midlands and west. Southeast winds will be mostly moderate in strength.

Later in the evening, heavy showers will move up from the south and extend up over the country overnight with some locally heavy and thundery bursts.
