This week’s cover: Tom Shanahan from Templetouhy, Co Tipperary
Tom Shanahan is a retired farmer from Templetouhy, Co Tipperary.
Tom was our front cover star this week, bottle-feeding two of his 10-day-old lambs.
One of the lamb's mother has just died and the other lamb had been abanoned by its mother, meaning they are now relying on Tom to feed them.
As Tom has taken a step back from farming, his son now manages the beef suckler farm. \ Claire-Jeanne Nash
Dungarvan Mart
This week, our photographer Philip travelled to Dungarvan Mart in Co Waterford for Monday's calf sale.
In total, 685 calves went under the hammer. Mart manager Ger Flynn said numbers were well up this week due to the backlog caused by Storm Emma. \ Philip Doyle

Conleth Wall from Doon, Co Laois
Conleth Wall is a beef farmer from Doon, Co Laois.
Following poor weather late last year, he could not do a second-cut silage on some of his fields, so instead he chose to graze them, ensuring enough feed for his cattle. \ Claire-Jeanne Nash
