The Department of Agriculture has announced the commencement of all the major schemes for the year. Farmers should be aware that just because a payment has been announced, it does not necessarily mean that it has issued to your account. There are still quite a number of farmers ineligible for payment.
The Irish Farmers Journal understands that farmers can become ineligible for payment for a number of reasons. Sometimes it is as a result of missing documentation that they or the planner has not supplied to the Department, but it can also be an issue on the Department’s side.
It is important that you check what payments have issued to you and, more importantly, what has not issued.
This will allow you to follow up with the Department to rectify any issues.
