KL Auctioneers, Macroom and Millstreet, is handling the sale of a number of farms in the Macroom area. The first farm is situated in Rahalisk, Macroom, Co Cork, and comprises a bungalow in need of refurbishment, set on 145 acres.
According to auctioneer Killian Lynch, the land is currently used for grazing purposes, but “a lot of the ground has been neglected” and with some repair could be brought back to full use. Lynch also suggests that the buyer would have the potential to plant forestry on the land. Approximately six acres are already under forestry.
The land has the benefit of extensive road frontage on its northern and southern boundaries.
The farm is for sale by private treaty in its entire or in two separate lots. Lot one comprises the house and approximately 7.55 acres and is guided at €100,000.
The second lot extends to the remaining 137.5 acres and is guided at €650,000. The forestry returns a premium of €7,490/annum, with five years of payments remaining.
The second farm offered by KL Auctioneers is situated at The Glebe, Inchigeelagh, Macroom and extends to 47 acres.
The land is mixed between grazing ground and rough land, with some rock outcrop. The farm comes with a two-storey three-bedroom farmhouse that has been renovated in recent years.
The house is located in the centre of the farm, offering plenty of privacy and is accessed via a roadway.
KL Auctioneers is offering the farm for sale by private treaty at an asking price of €340,000.
