Shawn Cuddy and friends on tour
Shawn Cuddy is ready to embark on a seven-date concert tour. The Laois native, who has resided in Donegal for several years, will be joined by special guests Richie Kavanagh and Kathy Durkin.
The new tour will see Shawn make a welcome return to various parts of the country where the concert circuit is stronger than the dancing scene. A consummate performer, Shawn always delivers a top-class show.
“The venues are well spread out and we are really looking forward to some lovely nights,” says Shawn.

Rolling back the Showband years
Cork music lovers are in for a night of nostalgia on 9 October when some well-known names from the showband era take to the stage of Cork Opera House.
Rolling Back the Showband Years with the Legends of Cork Showband era is the title of a show that has been generating a lot of interest in recent weeks.
When one thinks of Cork and that era, The Dixies always spring to mind. They were the heartthrob band of the 1960s, fronted by the late Brendan O’Brien along with the late Glen Curtin, both of whom will be fondly remembered on the night.
Also co-fronting The Dixies was the legendary Joe McCarthy, who will put in a performance on the night. Meanwhile, Terry McCarthy, also of The Dixies, is among the guest performers.
Other performers include Art Supple, who fronted The Victors in the 1960s, Declan Ryan (The Regal) and Tony Stevens (Western Union). Crystal Swing will join the showband legends for a guest spot. The concert starts at 8pm and tickets cost €32.50, available from Cork Opera House.
