The MLT 625e compact telehandler is Manitou’s first electric machine designed for the agricultural market. Equipped with a 35-kWh lithium-ion battery, Manitou claims it offers a range of five hours in a typical farmyard workload.

The manufacturer says a major advantage of the MLT 625e is the 30% reduction in the amount of hydraulic oil used, which is made possible by two key designs – a fully electric transmission that eliminates the need to use hydraulics for transmission, unlike the hydrostatic internal combustion version. The second feature is the integration of an anti-emulsion filter in the hydraulic oil tank to optimise the volume required. This design helps to simplify maintenance, which is already reduced as a result of the reduced number of components to be serviced.
