Irish Agri Auctions held its fifth auction to date on Monday 3 May, in conjunction with Ballybay Mart in Monaghan.
A total of 446 lots were offered on the day, with the firm claiming a clearance rate of 89%.
The company told the Irish Farmers Journal that a total of 690 registered bidders signed up, while 12,000 viewers tuned in to keep an eye on proceedings throughout the day.
Commission was charged at a rate of 10% for items sold up to €1,000 and 5% for items sold above €1,000. Irish Agri Auctions said that there was no VAT on any lots in this sale.
Some lots included €3,060 for a tidy Nugent 12ft livestock trailer with decks; €5,300 for a tri-axle low loader; and €4,500 for a Bomford hedge-cutter.
The group’s next auction is set to take place in conjunction with Ballybay Mart, on bank holiday Monday 7 June.
