Överum Industries has been jointly acquired by Swedish steel company Amlo and an investment firm Fröjdia.

It is understood the new name of the Swedish plough manufacturer will be Överum Agro. Överum and its employees have had a turbulent couple of years.

Initially bought by Case New Holland (CNH) as part of its acquisition of Kongskilde in late 2016, CNH sold Överum to a German investment company, FairCap – which had no previous experience in the machinery industry – in April 2024. Despite big plans to develop the company, it is believed Överum was declared bankrupt by FairCap just over a month ago.

The new joint owners have plans to rebuild and develop the operations in Överum. Newly appointed CEO and Amlo Group owner Amir Lotfi previously served as deputy CEO of Överum between 2001 and 2011.
