Young farmer of the year Kevin Moran is indeed a special person.

The Dealer has learned that the Co Mayo man – who is farming in Co Galway – donated the €3,000 prize he won for winning the award to the Friends of Grace Trust.

On top of that, Moran sold some items on the farm and recently donated a further €500.

The Friends of Grace Trust was set up to raise money for a six-year-old Co Mayo girl named Grace who lives with spinal muscular atrophy.
