Met Éireann has forecast another hot day on Friday, with the northern fringes getting slightly cooler weather. Dry with hazy sunny spells for most of the country, cloudier to the west and northwest with isolated showers.

Highest temperatures of 21°C to 29°C, warmest in the south.

Friday night is set to be mostly clear and dry. Isolated showers may affect parts of the west and southwest. Lowest overnight temperatures of 14°C to 17°C, with light or variable northerly winds.

Saturday

Saturday is set to be another hot day, with cooler temperatures for northern fringes. Sunny for most, but cloudier at times over the west and northwest.

Highest temperatures ranging between 18°C to 29°C, cooler in the north.

Clear conditions will continue for most into Saturday night, with cloudier conditions persisting in the northwest and north. Lowest temperatures of 13°C to 17°C.

Sunday

Sunday will see a cloudy start for the west and north, which will change into sunshine becoming widespread.

The western half of the country will likely see the highest temperatures, ranging between 22°C and 29°C.

Sunday night will see tropical conditions, with temperatures not falling below 14°C to 19°C overnight.

Next week

High pressure will continue to bring very warm or hot temperatures across the country next week, with widespread sunshine and blue skies.

Easterly breezes will see the highest temperatures move further west, with slightly cooler breezes to the east.

Temperatures are expected to range in the mid to high 20s across the country. Nights will remain warm and humid.
