Country Express was launched on LMFM, the regional station serving counties Louth and Meath. The new show will air Monday to Friday, 8-9pm, and will feature all the latest from the music scene plus old favourites. The programme is being hosted by Darren Mahon, Athboy, and represents a welcome addition to the country scene in the region.

Caitriona Canavan, Connemara, is putting the finishing touches to her new album and plans are well advanced for a big launch night in May. The album is being produced by Pat Coyne in Cong. Her version of She’s In Love With A Rodeo Man looks set to become a hit.
The country music fraternity extends condolences to John McNicholl and his family circle on the death of his uncle, Jim McNicholl, in Co Derry last week.
Trevor Dickson is a well-known singer and musician on the NI circuit. A recent visit to the studios has resulted in a two-track instrumental CD. One features the theme music from Bonanza and the other a new tune, The Island Waltz, composed by Gerard Dornan.
Tell Her is the catchy upbeat single from Ulster singer Richie Remo. The song was a big hit stateside for Kenny Loggins. Richie’s version was produced by Jonathan Owens in Granard.
