Dawn Meats has announced the acquisition of German meat importer and distributor Alexander Eyckeler for an undisclosed sum.
The company is one of Alliance Group’s largest customers for sheepmeat and venison and supplies retail, food service and cash and carry markets in Germany.
Dawn Meats described the deal as being part of its integration with Alliance.

Dawn Meats CEO Niall Browne said: “This acquisition supports Dawn Meats’ ongoing integration with Alliance and strengthens our ability to serve customers in-market.”
Managing director of Eyckeler Markus Wagner said that the deal marks “a new chapter in the company’s long-standing partnership with Alliance Group and its parent company Dawn Meats”.
The latest accounts filed by Alexander Eyckeler for the 2024 financial year show the company had a profit after tax of €1.16m on revenue of €81.7m.
Dawn Meats has a 65% shareholding in Alliance Group, acquired in November 2025, with New Zealand farmers holding the balance of the company.
