Weather forecast
Friday is forecast to be rather cloudy and damp at first through central and northern areas with lingering overnight rain and drizzle clearing eastwards.
Met Éireann has said that drier and brighter conditions will prevail further south for a time, but another spell of rain will push in from the Atlantic during the afternoon. This rain is to become widespread in the evening.
It is forecast to be windy over the southern half of the country with fresh to strong and gusty southwest to west winds at times, but light to moderate winds elsewhere.
Top temperatures on Friday will vary between 5-10°C, the coldest of which will be in the north.
