The Irish Rugby Football Union and the Barbarian Football Club have confirmed they will meet at Thomond Park on Thursday, 28 May, as part of the Barbarians’ summer tour – delivering much excitement, as well as economic benefits to the region. With 2015 marking the 125th anniversary of Barbarian rugby, the side will be packed full of leading international stars. The club also anticipates a number of in-form Munster players will be invited to join their squad. Tickets for the Ireland vs Barbarians match went on general sale on Thursday, 27 November, priced from €30 (terrace) to €55 (stand category A). Family terrace packs at €50 are available from www.ticketmaster.ie and all usual outlets, including Thomond Park Stadium, or by calling the Ticketmaster on 0818-719-300. (Booking fees apply).
