A new book released by Lensmen offers a fascinating glimpse into Irish life during the 1970s. The 1970s: Ireland in Pictures features 130 images capturing everything from GAA to Ireland’s entry into the EEC. Established by Andrew Farren and Padraig MacBrian in 1952, Lensmen has an archive of three million images. The company also published The 1960s: Ireland in Pictures (2011) and The 1950s: Ireland in Pictures (2010). The 1980s: Ireland in Pictures is due out later in 2014.
