O’Shea’s Hotel in Tramore is the venue for three nights of country dancing to coincide with Race Week in the Co Waterford town. Declan Nerney and band will perform on Thursday, 14 August. Michael English and band are there on 15 August, while Brendan Shine rounds off the festival on the Saturday night.
Camillus Egerton from Mullingar has released his new album, Singin’ The Legends. The 12-track collection features songs by some of the American greats, including Tom T Hall, Willie Nelson, Ricky Skaggs, Charley Pride and others. An official launch will be held in the Greville Arms Hotel in Mullingar on 23 September.
What’s The Craic is the new single from Justin McGurk. The young man from Cookstown penned the catchy up-tempo number that’s proving very popular.
Justin and The Boogie Men are playing Rock The Point Festival in Warrenstown on 10 August and the Dungannon Park Festival on Monday, 25 August.
Clonmel will host its annual Busking Festival from 7 to 10 August. The Dublin City Ramblers, Mundy, Brian Boru Céili Band and Bagatelle are all in town. Other festival highlights include Chris Kavanagh’s tribute to Luke Kelly, song-writing workshops with Charlie McGettigan and a street céilí with the Matt Cunningham band on Sunday.
Hello Tomorrow is the latest single from Louth-based Eimear Furlong. The song is a co-write between Eimear and Belfast-based BG Pollock.
Barry Devlin from Tyrone, a finalist in Glór Tíre earlier this year, is back on the recording scene with a new single, Mud On The Tyres. This is the follow-up to his self-penned number, Sleepless Nights.
