9 April: The Newcastle-based artist has been subject to rave reviews since the release of his debut album, Money Isn’t Everything, back in 2012. The Fureys
9 April: The Furey’s performs this Saturday night in Vicar Street. Originally formed in 1976 and made up of brothers from Ballyfermot, the traditional band has become one of Ireland’s top performers. Two of the band’s singles have been number one hits in Ireland, and two of their albums charted in the UK, highlighting the commercial success of the group. Tickets start from €30. Christy Moore
13 April: The Kildare native Christy Moore plays in Vicar Street this Wednesday night. Few in the business can compare to Moore and since the release of his first album in 1969 he has firmly established himself as a cornerstone of Irish traditional music. Expect a plethora of famous songs and a few laugh as well, as he performs in one of Ireland’s best-known concert halls. Tickets range from €39.50 to €49.50. 12 April: Autumn 1917 and Constance Markievicz is on trial for the death of a young, unarmed policeman during the 1916 Rising that brings several historic characters to court. The Huntsman Winter War
8 April: Directed by Cedric Nicolas-Troyan and starring an all-star cast of Emily Blunt, Jessica Chastain, Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth, it tells the story of two evil sisters as they prepare to conquer the land. It also follows two renegades, Eric the Huntsmen, who previously aided Snow White in defeating Ravenna, and his forbidden lover, Sara who set out to stop them.
