From its base in Co Kildare, Lely Ireland Ltd market a complete range of agricultural machinery to farmers and contractors throughout Ireland. From balers and grassland machinery to loader wagons, Lely’s product range is designed to meet today’s farming needs. The products are backed up by the Lely Ireland Service Team, along with a comprehensive network of dealers who guarantee reliable service and support across the range.
Lely will be demonstrating its full range of grassland machinery at Grass & Muck 2014. This includes Splendimo mowers, Lotus tedders, Hibiscus rakes, Lely Welger balers, Tigo loader wagons and the Storm trailed forage harvester.
Lely’s latest innovation for the 2014 season is the new Lely Tigo 50 PR silage-loading wagon, which will be working at the event. The new Lely Tigo PR replaces the Lely Tigo R Profi model, with three models in the 31-41 DIN M3 capacity range (PR 50, 60 and 70).
The Tigo PR models combine the new features of the Tigo XR, such as movable bulkhead, with the tried and tested capacity of the Tigo R Profi. With their compact build and high capacity, the Tigo XR and PR loader-wagons are an excellent choice for large livestock farms and contractors.
Also working at the event will be the new Lely Hibiscus 715 Central Delivery rake, which was launched following the introduction of the Hibiscus 745, 815 and 915 CD models in 2012. This extensive range of central-delivery rakes covers working widths ranging from 6.75m to 14.8m. Farmers and contractors can now opt for high quality and reliable machines, ensuring efficient raking as well as even swaths.
The new Hibiscus 715 CD is the smallest machine in the range. It uses twin 3.2m-diameter rotors with 10 tine arms. This rake has the same compact chassis as the 745 CD Vario model, resulting in a narrow transport width – which helps when negotiating narrow roads and lanes.
The Hibiscus 715 CD features a mechanical working width adjustment. The frame can quickly be set in three different positions, for working widths of 6.75m, 6.90m and 7.05m.
A unique feature of all CD models is the 360° rotor float system, with the pivot points located slightly in front of the centre of the rotor, giving exceptional stability and ground contour-following agility.
The smart front-wheel assembly, which is close to the tines, ensures clean raking over uneven ground, while the wheels at the rear of the carriage supports most of the weight of the rotor.
The specially-designed RO Tine, with its curved shape, lifts the grass easily into an even airy swath suitable for balers, silage wagons and harvesters.
