Mudbound

17 November: Set in the rural American south during World War II, Mudbound is an heroic tale about two families who have been pitted against one another by a merciless social hierarchy, and yet they are bound together by the shared farmland of the Mississippi Delta. The motion picture explores the struggle of two men as they return home from the war to work on the farm, and the challenges they face with racism and life beyond the battlefield. The Netflix original film, staring Carey Mulligan, Garrett Hedlund and Mary J. Blige is deemed to be a box office success.
