Cork’s four-star boutique hotel, The Montenotte, has announced the appointment of Adrian Hillgrove to the role of executive head chef.
A graduate of culinary studies at CIT, Adrian’s career highlights include cooking for boyband Westlife and world-renowned golfers Arnold Palmer and Fred Couples among other celebrities, as well as working at Rick Stein’s flagship eatery, The Seafood Restaurant, in Cornwall.
A keen fisherman, Adrian’s love of seafood and shellfish cuisine has won him several awards, including best chowder at London’s Seafood Awards in 1990. Adrian advocates the use of seasonal, local produce in his kitchen at The Montenotte Hotel, where he manages a team of 14 chefs.

“My career to date has seen me cook in some of the finest restaurants in Ireland and the UK, and I am excited to join the Montenotte Hotel to create classic menus with a special twist, to solidify the hotel’s premier dining position,” says Adrian.
