The new Joskin Tetrax2 16000S allows for four wheels to be fitted in a row along the rear axle of the tanker. It is designed on the same principle as the other models of the range.

According to Joskin, by designing the tanker this way, ground compaction is avoided and soil structure is respected and protected.

Joskin believes one of the advantages of the Tetrax2 16000S is that it can be fitted with 650/85R38 wheels, with a diameter of 2,070mm, which makes the traction easier and increases the contact surface to the ground, allowing the vehicle weight to be distributed on an even wider surface.

They are mounted two-by-two on the running gear. Each pair of wheels is fastened to the integral cradle of the tank by a central axis and is fitted with a horizontal movement arm in order to adapt to uneven ground.

Joskin says the height of the vehicle remains very low and its stability is increased. This stability is further increased by the width of the vehicle at 3,230mm.

According to Joskin, it is the only way to avoid friction between the side walls of the tyres and to have enough room between the wheels of 4x650mm wide, even with the vehicle fully loaded.

The new wheel arrangement on the tanker is one of the reasons Joskin believes makes it ideal for work in the fields with a spreading implement, which makes it an alternative for self-propelled vehicles.

The legal weight limit on the road is 10t per axle. This machine only has one axle, even though it can carry more liquid. To get around this issue, Joskin offers an unloading system for the tank which is common practice in Europe, according to the company.

With a particularly small length, Joskin says the Tetrax2 16000S can be fitted with any type of slurry-spreading implement in a compact way, but even with its high capacity, it still remains compact and easy to manoeuvre.

This is made possible by the standard drawbar with suspension, which further increases the compact size of the vehicle.

As regards the pump, the Tetrax2 can be fitted with a vacuum pump with a flow up to 25,000 litres of air/min or a lobe pump with a capacity up to 8,000 litres of slurry/min. Both reduce downtime when filling and spreading.

The Tetrax2 can also be fitted with all types of Joskin meadow or arable injectors or with spreading booms. The sturdy linkage at the back of the tanker is designed to hitch any type of implement close to the tanker’s rear wall.

The Tetrax2 16000S is suitable for farms with fields located near the farm.
