The fundraising committee of Kilbrittain National School, Co Cork, will be holding a tractor run on Sunday, 29 December, to aid the further development of their dedicated autism unit, SPRAOI. The school was granted an Autism Specific Disorder Unit in 2012, which caters for 10 pupils from the surrounding catchment area of Bandon, Kinsale and Clonakility.
There will be two more places made available in September 2014 and there is a significant waiting list.
Jim O’Mahony of Farmpower and a member of the organising committee said that the tractor run is open to modern and vintage tractors. It will start from Kilbrittain village at 12 noon, following a route of 22km and returning to the village along the coast road. Tractors will assemble in Kilbrittain village from 10.30am on Sunday, 29 December.
