Waterford Macra Ag Affairs Committee presents a free veterinary talk on animal health issues during the spring calving period by Dirk Huntenburg MRCVS on 13 January from 7.45pm in The Holy Cross Pub, Butlerstown, Waterford City. Dirk is a lead partner in the CCW veterinary practice, based in Carrick-on-Suir. Topics to be covered on the night include pre-calving preparations, calving difficulties, calf care and cow welfare post-calving among others. Tea/ coffee will be provided afterwards. All welcome.

It’s that time of year again – it’s time to dust off the January blues with the entertaining Northwest Kings and Queens event and royal banquet. The evening starts at 7.30pm on 31 January in the Sligo Park Hotel. Tickets are €25. Entry to the afters is just €10 for Macra members (must present membership card on entry) or €15 for non-members.
