Lanarkshire farmer, James Warnock, has replaced Keith Brooke as chairman of the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland (RHASS). Warnock was appointed chairman designate in July, before Brooke stepped down in August.

Suckler farmer Warnock is in his third term as a director of RHASS and was made a Fellow of the Royal Agricultural Societies in 2012. He was awarded an MBE in 2015 for services to education and communication in agriculture. He is also a director of a haulage company, Farm Field Fresh, which transports foodstuffs in refrigerated containers to supermarkets all over the UK.
