Colliers International has appointed Callum Bain as a senior surveyor to its Country and Residential departments. Callum joined Ganly Walters Country and residential division in 1992 and went on to manage the Compulsory Purchase Department, which was followed by the establishment of a Rural Valuations and Consultancy division at Ganly Walters. He has worked on behalf of landowners on CPO projects over the past 20 years as well as having extensive experience in the country and residential markets.

New service

In a new venture, Edward Townshend has established a new auctioneering service called Townshends Auctioneers, based in Dublin. Edward would be known, particularly in the Leinster region, for his senior positions in Colliers International (formerly Jacksons-Stops), Hamilton Osborne King and James Adams and Sons. Originating from a farming background in Meath, he has over 20 years experience in the residential and land sales, lettings and valuations departments. 17 acres sells prior to auction

It’s believed that a 17-acre parcel of land situated at Caltragh, Laurencetown, Co Galway, sold prior to last week’s public auction. The property was guided at €120,000 and sold in a private deal to a local for an undisclosed figure. Vincent Costello Auctioneers, Tuam, handled the same.
