In one of their last auctions of the year, Carnew based Quinn Property successfully concluded the sale of a circa 33ac holding at Tinnakilly, Aughrim, Co Wicklow.
Ahead of the online auction, auctioneer David Quinn reported steady interest and four parties had registered to bid in advance.
Excellent quality ground, it is in one block and laid out in four divisions. The free draining lands were guided at between €8,000-€10,000/ac and offered in the following lots or the entire.

Early bidding saw Lot 1 (13.2ac) reach €130,000 while Lot 2 (20.2ac) reached €170,000. Following a bid of €310,000 on the entire (Lot 3), the two subdivisions were withdrawn and further bids were sought for the entire.
A little short of its reserve, the property was withdrawn and negotiations commenced with the highest bidder after which both parties agreed on a higher figure. The successful bidder was described as a local farmer.
