The same auctioneer achieved a strong price of €146,000 for 9ac at a recent packed auction in The Lodge, Knockmore. The land was at Newtowncloghans. Another 9ac lot made €86,000 while c6ac of lower lying land sold for €15,000.
“It was jammed - the whole village was in the pub,” Karl Fox said afterwards.
