Last Saturday 21 May, Hennessey Auctioneers hosted its monthly online machinery auction.

A total of 490 lots were entered, resulting in an 82% clearance rate.

Bidding took place via the LSL app. Hennessy said that there were a total of 650 registered bidders from countries as far away as Australia, Canada, Holland and the UK.

Standout lots included a 2018 Broughan 26ft tandem axle cattle trailer, which sold at €26,600; a 2011 Hyundai 145 digger which sold at €27,700 including VAT; a 2007 Lamborghini R6.165.7 tractor, which sold at €18,200; a Hogg Engineering multipurpose dump trailer, which sold at €14,200 including VAT; and a 2019 Malone Procut 800 8ft disc mower, which sold at €5,800.

Other highlights included a Kverneland four-furrow reversible plough, which sold at €7,000; a tidy 2003 Honda Fourtrax 350 4wd quad, which sold at €5,000; and a 2018 Tuffmac 12ft x 6ft cattle trailer, which sold at €6,100.

All lots sold had no VAT unless otherwise stated and were subject to commission.

Commission was charged at 5% plus 23% VAT (on commission only) with a maximum chargeable fee of €1,000 plus VAT.
