Abbey Machinery has introduced what it claims is a versatile slurry application unit, called the Tri-App, to combine the three functions of dribble bar, trailing boot and trailing shoe applicators into one 7.5-metre-wide machine attachment.

The galvanised machine can be mounted to a tanker via a fixed mounting frame or by means of a hydraulic mast.

It can also be mounted independently to the back of a tractor to run with an umbilical pumping system.

Abbey claims the mounting system to the tanker has been optimised to reduce the overhang and to minimise the weight of the applicator on the back of a tanker.

The Abbey Tri-App is engineered to offer lightweight construction with robust design to give durability and productivity for the end user, according to Owen Cavanagh of Abbey. It comes with a full LED light fitting.

The unit is fitted with 40mm heavy-duty durable hoses with no internal hose restrictions at the joints. Abbey claims this design ensures there are no restrictions to the flow from the Vogelsang Exacut macerator to the ground. The macerator has an auto-reverse system to deal with potential blockages.

Abbey claims the double pivot three-section boom allows the outlets to follow the ground contours individually. It also protects the frame from any uneven ground.

The optional kit for the Abbey Tri-App include an umbilical arm to link to an umbilical pumping system, an A-Frame to retro fit 600m umbilical system reels, trailing shoe points, a fully mast mounting kit and electric hydraulic controls.
