Farmer Business Developments, the founding company of FBD Insurance, has announced an additional €7.1m investment in development lands adjacent to the new Berlin airport.
Farmer Business Developments made its first investment in commercial development land in Berlin in 2008 with a syndicate of other investors.

company initially held a 47% stake in the syndicate.

This latest investment sees the company buy out the interests of other investors, bringing the group’s stake to more than 61%. Its total investment to date stands at €26.8m.
Padraig Walshe, chairman of Farmer Business Developments, said he is confident the development lands will deliver returns for investors. “Interest amongst developers in these lands continues to be significant and market sentiment around these development lands and Berlin in general is positive,” added Walshe.
