Harvest 2018: it’s a wrap.
We have been sifting through all of our entries for our #Harvest18 photo competition and after much deliberation, we have picked our winning shot. Peter Niblock took this photo of Trevor ‘Cleet’ Thompson harvesting oilseed rape on Graham Furey’s farm in early August. Congratulations also to our second-place winner Laura O’Connell and third-place winner Ailish Osborne. To see all the winning photos and other entries that we loved, check out farmersjournal.ie
SECOND PRIZE: William and Diarmuid O’Connell harvesting winter wheat in Castletownroche, Mallow, Co Cork. Sent in by Laura O’Connell.
THIRD PRIZE: Ailish Osborne sent us this picture of her dad, Eugene Osborne, cutting winter barley outside Castledermot, Co Kildare.
