A smaller, seasonal entry of cattle was on offer at Enniskillen Mart on Thursday last.
In the store ring, heavy forward bullocks weighing over 600kg sold from £1.90/kg up to £2.14/kg. Top price on the day went to an Angus bullock weighing 808kg and selling to £1,265. Several U grade continental bullocks weighing up to 660kg sold from £1,200 to a top price of £1,265. Bullocks weighing 400kg to 450kg sold from £800 to a top of £910.
In the weanling ring, heifers sold from a price range of £520 to £850. Heifer weanlings at 250kg to 300kg were a sharp trade, with plenty of farmers buying cattle to graze. General prices for these cattle ranged from £2.15/kg to £2.30/kg, with an occasional lot selling up on £2.60/kg.

Bull weanlings sold from £2.25/kg to £2.45/kg for good-quality animals weighing 300kg up to 360kg liveweight.
Suckler cows sold from £1,090 up to £1,430 for continental cows with a bull calf at foot. Springing Limousin heifers sold around £1,000 per head.
