In the dry cow sale, prices remain on a similar level to 2017, with fleshed cows commanding good money with their weight. Between €200 and €400 over the €/kg was available.
Feeder cows were closer to €100 with their weight or less, depending on their body condition. There were over 170 cows on offer and they made from €50 under to €750 over the €/kg. Sample prices:
One Simmental, 835kg - €1,585, €1.90/kg.
One Friesian, 820kg - €1,240, €1.51/kg.
One Friesian, 610kg - €920, €1.51/kg.
One Friesian, 690kg - €1,030, €1.90/kg.
One Friesian, 760kg - €1,000, €1.32/kg.
One Friesian, 545kg - €830, €1.52/kg.
Bullocks
There was a small entry of bullocks and their prices ranged from €330 to €700 with their weight. Friesians commanded prices of €1.65/kg to €1.80/kg with Angus and Hereford bullocks making from €1.90/kg to €2.14/kg.
