The production sale of 15 in-calf heifers from Tullamore Farm took place on Wednesday in Roscrea Mart with a 100% clearance rate and heifers averaging €3,687/head. While there was a big crowd ringside, bidding was underpinned by online activity and repeat customers with all bar one heifer selling online.

The sale witnessed the same price pressure as is evident in specialist in-calf heifer sales with prices falling by €1,183, or 24%, on the record performance in 2025. Farm Manager Shaun Diver commented that, despite the reduced prices, he was heartened to see so many repeat customers active signalling that heifers purchased in previous years are performing well in those herds.

The highest price of €4,610 was paid for a Limousin-cross heifer sired by Drumline S and also possessing the highest Euro-Star replacement index of €213. The heifer weighed 605kg and is due to calve to the Limousin sire Brontmoor Salering on 21 February 2027.
