So as one of our favourite chippers goes stateside, here in Irish Country Living we decided to vote on the best takeaways at home. Although it was a toss up between Lennox’s in Cork and KC’s, the rebel county has voted on the chicken creole from KC’s – totally worth the queue that is always outside (there is even a webcam so you can gauge the queue before you leave the couch on a Saturday night). The western staff highlighted McDonagh’s in Galway as the best chipper you’ll ever find, whereas Angelo’s Takeaway in Banagher, Co Offaly, is considered a midlands legend.
