The ninth annual Curtis Magee Fanfayre at the Lodge Hotel, Coleraine, takes place from 22 to 25 June.

“The Fanfayre has regular patrons that come back year after year. It is now part of their annual vacation and they always have a cracking good time,” says Curtis.

Among the artists joining Curtis over the four days are Mick Flavin, Frank McCaffrey, Hugo Duncan, Boxcar Brian, Limelight, Richie Remo, Country Harmony, Ann Breen, Johnny McHugh, Blue Grass Ray, and compere and comedian, Gary Wilson.

Newcomers this time include Daniel Truesdale, Shauna McStravock and, from Wales, Alan Herbert. Curtis will also be joined on the final night by his daughters Natasha and Shannon.

“I also arrange an afternoon of music for the local special needs and day centres. It is the one day of the Fanfayre that I look forward to most. Last year, we raised £2,000 for the Children to Lapland Trust,” says Curtis.

All nights are open to the public and admission (£10) is payable at the door. The special four-day ticket (£25) is available from the Lodge Hotel reception.
