Supporting Irish startups, UCD recently announced O’Kale Krisps (www.okalekrisps.com) as the overall winner of the 2017 UCD Startup Stars Programme. O’Kale Krisps has developed low-calorie, highly nutritious and air-dried kale crisps to give consumers a unique and healthy snack. UCD undergraduate students Jack Parsons and Oisin McElhinney are behind the company and hope to have O’Kale Krisps in stores in all corners of the country by the end of the year. The UCD Startup Stars entrepreneurship programme supports undergraduate and postgraduate students who want to work together to develop and grow startup companies.
