Michael English continues his return to the dancing circuit with the launch of his new country album on 1 February. It will be his first country album for some time and will feature favourites like High Five for Long Island, Locklin’s Bar and The Band Is Back in Town.
Lee Matthews will launch his new band in the Allingham Arms in Bundoran on 8 February. The young Tyrone singer is excited about the night. His debut single, Sadie’s Got Her New Dress On, earned many plaudits for the rising star.
Condolences are tendered to American country singer Jeff Tuttle on the death of his mother Liz in Monroe, Michigan. Jeff lived in Mayo for two years before moving back to the USA.
Daniel Byrne is an 18-year-old Armagh lad who hails from Belleek, a small village about five miles from Crossmaglen. He is putting the finishing touches to his debut single, Take My Hand, under the guidance of Gerard Dornan from Co Down.
TR Dallas and Johnny Carroll will headline a major dance in the Abbeyleix Manor Hotel on 11 April. The venture is in support of the Laois Down's syndrome Association. Helen McEvoy and friends are looking forward to big support on the night.
Francis Donnelly will launch his new album in the Greenvale Hotel in Cookstown on 12 February. Robert Mizzell, Paddy Walshe and the Ryan Turner Band will join him for the special occasion.
Seany Mac from Fermanagh is playing shows with his new five-piece band in the Allingham Arms, Bundoran, on 21 February, and in the Landmark Hotel, Carrick-on-Shannon, on 23 February.He is also celebrating his 21st birthday that weekend.
