The popular Westmeath duo have been busy all this week recording for the series at the TG4 studios in Baile na hAbhann, Connemara.

After almost four decades in the business, Tony Allen and Mick Foster continue to scale new heights. The new show is being recorded in HD and will also feature some new on-location videos, including The Fields Of Athenry, My Lovely Rose Of Clare and Green Hills Of Sligo, to mention a few.

“The show will include a diverse mix of easy listening, folk, country, Irish and traditional music throughout the series, as well as a sprinkling of Foster and Allen’s own hits. There will also be some new songs which they have recently recorded for their new album Gold and Silver Days due out in September,” says a spokesperson for TG4. Tony Allen is delighted that TG4 are screening this brand new series.

“The station has been very good to us and ran a series a few months back. We are excited about this as it is very much up to date and features a nice blend of new and old material.

“We are doing an Irish concert tour during the month of July and we will be over in Britain in November. We also hope to put down tracks for a new album in the coming weeks and are looking forward to picking some nice new material for that as well.”

• The Foster and Allen Show half hour programme commences on TG4 on Sunday, 8 June at 8pm and will be repeated on Wednesday nights.
