Jerry McCaul from Clones, who died recently, was a noted musician who played piano with several bands across the region, including Margo and Gene Stuart.
He moved to America in the 1980s, where he shared a house with several other musicians, including ace guitarist and fellow Monaghan man Pakie McDermott.
They played the Irish circuit over there for a number of years, doing gigs in Queens, Yonkers and other areas of New York.
He played with a number of bands on his return to Monaghan. In recent years, he was part of Tony Stevens and The Rusty Roosters.

He also devoted a lot of his time to teaching piano at the local school and around the Clones area.
Jerry is survived by his brother Jimmy, his uncle Michael Murphy, his great friends Charlie and Helen, and a wide circle of loving friends.
