31 October: From the decade that brought you jelly shoes, Pac-Man, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and ET, Crash Ensemble brings you Ireland’s brightest composing talent. Ever wondered what it would be like to hear work by a young Beethoven or Philip Glass as it happened? This is classical music from here and now, from Irish composers in their 20s and early 30s. Born in the 80s features works by Jonathan Nangle, Barry O’Halpin, Ben Schlepper-Connolly, Amanda Feery and Emma O’Halloran. Johnny Duhan The Voyage

04 November: In a career spanning over 40 years, the Limerick man’s greatest achievement is his quartet of epic albums – Just Another Town, To The Light, The Voyage and Flame – which correspond with the four chapters of his lyrical autobiography, To The Light. Dragon of Shandon

31 October: Emerging from the underworld, the Dragon of Shandon will return to walk among the people of Cork this Halloween, but this time he is city bound. The parade promises to amaze, as hundreds of costumed performers accompany the 36ft dragon, made entirely of tape, in a spectacle of music, performance and light. 03-05 November: The Butt Drama Circle is once again hosting the Donegal Schools Drama Festival, showcasing the talents of Donegal’s big actors of tomorrow. 03-04 November: The society brings you two productions in one night: The Seduction of Chaos and The Quality of Boiled Water. The Seduction of Chaos tells the story of Arthur Franklin, who is dangerously depressed after his boss fired him and his wife filed for divorce. The Quality of Boiled Water is about a Wall Street wizard who wakes up with a strange woman in a strange bed in a very strange house.
