General Motors (GM) has announced plans to discontinue the sale of the Chevrolet brand in Europe by the end of 2015. The company’s vice chairman, Steve Girsky, said that the move was the latest effort by GM to turn around its European operations as it struggles to revive the Opel brand. Chevrolet’s annual sales have been poor since the brand was relaunched in 2005.
