McConnel recently introduced its next generation of remote-controlled machinery, the RoboCut range, which will be on display alongside the Agribuggy self-propelled sprayer and members from the extensive hedge-cutter range at the FTMTA show in Punchestown

Designed for the most challenging conditions, the range comprises two new all-terrain models, RoboCut RC56 and RC75. These new models boast a complete new ground-up design, with more power, an advanced feature set, and a GPS Autosteer option allowing for precise cutting to an accuracy of 25mm from up to 150 metres away.

New Hatz engines to suit steep gradients of up to 55° are among the changes; 56hp and 75hp are the two output choices available. These new engines provide up to 75% more power with a superb power to weight ratio. A 20% increase in fuel efficiency allows eight hours of operation between refills.

Flailheads up to 1.9m can now be fitted, resulting in substantially higher output. Integrated roll over bars on both models provide adequate protection for the new lower centre of gravity chassis with perfect 50:50 weight distribution achieved. The new feature sets include a programmable attachment flotation system, StaySafe flailhead hood control for highway mowing, on machine digital display for machine setting customisation, keyless start technology and both daytime running lights as well as high intensity work lights. The new remote control features an informative digital display providing the user with valuable feedback including engine rpm, engine temperature and signal strength.
