New tractor registration figures for the year to date up to the end of February are up 11% in comparison with the same period last year, according to new figures from the FTMTA.
The FTMTA has confirmed its Farm Machinery Show will be held outdoors in Punchestown Racecourse, Nass, Co. Kildare over two days on Wednesday 5 and Thursday 6 July 2023.
New additions to the machinery element of TAMS III include dung spreaders, potato planters, bale slices, aerators and slurry separators, while dribble bars have been excluded for now.
New tractor registrations started on a high this year, FTMTA figures show that 485 new tractors were registered in January, an increase of 15% on the same period in 2022.

The Farm Tractor and Machinery Trade Association (FTMTA) has elected Karol Duigenan from Claas as its new president and Rob Hill from John Deere as its new vice-president.
FTMTA figures show there were 2,243 used tractors registered by the end of October this year, compared with 3,259 units for the first ten months of 2021, representing more than a 31% reduction.
128 new tractors were registered in the republic of Ireland during September, taking the nine-month total to 1,960 units, 10% down on the corresponding period in 2021, according to FTMTA figures.
