Kverneland has launched a new, high-end centre swath rake. According to the manufacturers, the robust design is ideal for operating in rough, demanding terrain. The rake offers up to 8m adjustable working width with compact dimensions during transport. The new Kverneland 9580 C has 12 tine arms on each rotor.
The working width can be hydraulically adjusted between from 7m to 8m, leaving a swath width between 1.2m and 2.2m.
Durability
Kverneland also says that the enhanced durability of the Kverneland 9580 C has been achieved with a stronger mainframe design. Material thickness has been upgraded by 20% compared with the previous model, the company says.
The ProLine oilbath gearbox is fitted with eight fixed and four detachable tine arms and provides extremely reliable raking performance.
The Kverneland 9580 C masters both wide working widths and compact transport measures. The new design of the wheel axles allows 380/55 wheels to be fitted as standard while still offering a transport width of 2.75m. This makes it the perfect match for narrow roads and tight gateways, according to Kverneland product specialist Padraic McCarthy.
The transport height is below 4m with all tine arms fitted in place on the rotors.
The Kverneland 9580 C includes comfort features such as hydraulic adjustment and setting of working/swath width, folding for transport width below 4m without leaving the tractor cab and actively steered axles supporting tight turns on headlands and during transport.
The TerraLink Quattro system allows the rotor arms to flex and carefully follow ground contours.
Pictured on the front cover is the Kuhn FC 3125 D front mower. The mower has a sleek design, but the changes don’t end here. The mower features the Opticut bed with protected drive. The new mower has a two-speed conditioner with steel tines, giving 750rpm and 1,000rpm. Another nice feature are the flexible stone guards on the side of the mower. The mower also has a hydra pneumatic lift control suspension that allows front and lateral sway up to 30 degrees to follow the ground contours. Prices start at €15,200, plus VAT.
