Ulster finalist The Egerton family farm, Lisnavoe House, Rosslea, Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh. “John and Elizabeth Egerton place the family at the heart of all their activities. Excellent beef and sheep farmers; their challenge is to create enough income to keep all three sons farming while having back up trades.”

Ulster winner The Hamilton family farm, 81 Ballyrainey Road, Comber, Co Down. “Martin and Tracy Hamilton set up Mash Direct in 2004 to add value to traditional vegetables. Through commitment and innovation, the family now employs 160 staff in its farming, processing and distribution operation.”

Connacht finalist The Calvey Family Farm, Keel, Achill, Co Mayo “The Calvey family are impressive sheep farmers, controlling the business from farm to fork in their family-run restaurant. Their goal is to promote Achill mountain lamb, enhancing the market opportunities for the sheep farmers on Achill Island.”

Connacht winner The Dunphy family farm, Easkey, Co Sligo. “The Dunphy family have a clear plan to bring their two sons into the dairy business. They embrace technology, and their commitment to improving their farm and expanding the business is absolute.”

Munster finalist The O’Brien Family, Farmley House, Lislevane, Bandon, Co Cork “The O’Briens are a close family who are focused on good grassland management and quality milk production. Committed to voluntary participation in the dairy industry and the locality, the success of family members is at the heart of all their activities.”

Munster winner The Murphy family farm, Dirreen, Coachford, Co Cork. “The Murphy family are excellent dairy farmers and are deeply proud of their home place. Community matters to them. They tackle difficulties together and are immensely proud of their achievements.”

The Rohan family, Annegrove Farm, Mountrath, Co Laois, received a special award for extraordinary initiative in highlighting farm safety through EMBRACE.
